Edmonton Public Library

Edmonton Public Library is the gathering place for people and ideas. As Edmonton’s largest lender of information and entertainment, they provide free library cards to all residents, and offer accessible resources, classes, and workshops, creating connections to help every Edmontonian grow, inspire, and change. ​

The Situation

Edmonton Public Library (EPL) engaged Perch Communications to write an annual report that would highlight the role EPL plays in supporting the community through uncertain times, and to communicate its impact with stakeholders.

Our Solution

Perch met with key members of the EPL team to understand their needs and objectives, as well as their audience for this report. We translated EPL’s statistics into a data-driven narrative that tells the compelling and impactful story of the role EPL plays in the community during challenging times. ​

  • Developing a theme that highlights EPL as a vital and adaptable community support
  • Working closely with all levels of leadership to write a concise story told with a consistent voice and tone
  • Copywriting the 2021 Annual Report, weaving data with compelling storytelling
