Ottawa Chamberfest is one of the largest chamber music festivals in the world, annually attracting over 100,000 attendees over two weeks in venues throughout the National Capital Region. The festival is known for breaking conventions, and bringing music and culture from around the world to some of the city’s best spots.
The Situation
Amidst ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and conversations about social accountability, the Ottawa Chamberfest team was poised to present a summer festival that is relevant, responsive, and respectful of this moment; one that answered the call for broader, more inclusive definitions of chamber music. They needed a communications plan and media relations campaign that would generate excitement for the 2022 summer festival, diversify ticket buyers, and drive ticket sales.
