Tourism Canmore Kananaskis is the destination marketing organization for Canmore and Kananaskis, one of Alberta's top travel destinations. Located just over 100 kms from the Calgary International Airport, Canmore Kananaskis is within reach of every major city in North America. And the numbers show it! The region welcomes an average of 11,000 daily visitors.
The community of Canmore Kananaskis is at a crossroads. Once a humble mining town, it's now a celebrated international tourist destination. As the town continues to grow, many community members and elected officials are turning their attention to developing a sustainable tourism strategy.
Tourism Canmore Kananaskis needed to develop a communications strategy that would re-position the organization as a trusted voice in conversations about the future of tourism in the community.
Tourism Canmore Kananaskis worked with Perch founder, Jenny Spurr, to create the strategy that would help residents understand the importance of tourism in Canmore Kananaskis, build confidence in Tourism Canmore Kananaskis as the DMO, and invite ongoing collaboration, resulting in more memberships.
